Someday Afternoon

Sometimes you really realize just hat it is "all about" sometimes in the middle of those afternoons when you've just driven away from the house when you've just had a new garage door installed -

took all day. They said only a matter of hours, but the guy had to keep running back to the shop for whatever the heck, and you spent all day

spackling some sheetrock holes - minor stuff actually, but the spackle had jelled and filmed over and is it really supposed to stink like that?

but now it's all done and you're headed to work and in a few hours you'll get the kids from the daycare and thank God the wife left some meatloaf you can heat up in the microwave when you get the kids home, because she's got class tonight and won't be home until late, and

these are the days when in the summer, when the afternoon heat will be unbearable next month, but right now it's just refreshing, just after having come off some crisp winter months,

and there's not a cloud in the sky and yes,

these are the moments when it all comes together,

when everything is in perfect placement.
